If it was him I would have assumed his mane would have been way more developed by now. I've always wondered why happened to Junior and the two matimbas.

It will be mostly assumptions on whether they separated at times or footage of either of them by themselves for a short while or something worst has happened since leaving Sabi.

Screenshot of Sassy as she’s greeted by her sub adults.

A Close look will show how her rear is carrying fresh scars and blood.

Upon asking the guides, they confirmed that Ximunghwe and Gingerella attacked her.

I don’t have much more clarity.   But all three sub adults are ok and accounted for.

I’m growing increasing more and more concerned for her as she gets into these repeated conflicts.   As it continues, Eventually, one of these could be her last.

So sad. Gingerella should recognize her, right?

At this monent, Sassy is a RIVAL pride lioness.   Also, if some rumblings that ximunghwe is lactating (intimating she has cubs somehow) are true, then that’s added incentive to go into defend mode.   Even on her mother.

These are very hectic times.   So much is happening.

For clarity, I’m not confirming that ximunghwe has cubs.   Only stating that if that’s true, they’re going to be particularly hostile against any other lions

Slide 5, wounded Sassy and subs:

I think that wound on the back is still from Nhenha/NK clash, as we see here:

So, maybe wound just reopened in this clash.

Sassy needs to go on full "reset" of her mentality, ofc we dont know how this happened, but this is now several clashes of her after she is alone with subs in relative short period of time, she just needs to run away immiditately and prevent any chance of fighting..

I guess that good thing is that Nhenha/NK are again out of western sector and that Ximhungwe female might go denning soon (if she is indeed pregnant), so that will bring some breathing room.

Girls are getting bigger, few more months and they will be her size, hope she can make it.

Othawa pride seen today. It seems that Sassy has managed to catch a kill, which is great to see.

Things are really not good for Sassy, Shes needs to go to somewhere without concentrated lion activity like southern Manyeleti, where the Tintswalo males and RRM and their prides rarely visit and the Imbali pride has moved away from the area

Speaking of Ximungwe's cubs, those could be Skorro Jr's?

@Mapokser

That is an old photo. Junior has yet to be seen this year. This recent sighting they claim was Junior was of Casper's stepson. Satara young male. Just as our friend @criollo2mil stated

@Mdz123 definitely not Skorro's this time. With gestation period being what it is, those cubs belong to Nhenha. He was literally mating with her 4 Months ago.

Sassy being attacked by her own daughter and Ximhungwe is very worrying. She already has injuries she is recovering from. Let's hope she survives like Omega said she would.
Best to steer clear of Ximhungwe pride territory.
The shoe is on the other foot now in terns of the Ximhungwe - Othawa bloody history.

Western sector, area where she is, is prob lowest area of lion acitvity you can get. She pretty much needs to worry about Gingerella/Ximhungwe and occasionaly Mhangenis (although they are not showing aggression towards other prides since OM's demise), and males like PC boys or Nhena/NK, but they also dont hang there all the time, both of them move in and out.

Her, being around central Sabi Sands, or northern Sabi Sands would be quite harder, far more lion activity there.

Not life threatning injuries, especially as she can already hunt, but needs to be more careful next time.

She was in a territorial pride whole her life, i guess she is not "use" to that she is not "boss" in the area anymore, and needs to run from other females/prides.

The three sub adults will be getting a high paced crash course of life.   They will need to develop on faster pace now.   It won’t be an easy road.
