This Black Caiman was unfortunately found dead in the Itonomas river, Beni - Magdalena -Bolivia, the local authorities said to be investigating the cause of death of the reptile and they'll do an autopsy on the black caiman's body ( I think it was definitely killed by humans ).

Female Black Caiman

Crocodylia Brasil

''In the photo a female Black Caiman (Melanosuchus niger) found in the Sustainable Development Reserves Mamirauá and Amanã, in the northwest of Amazonas. Measuring 2.91 meters and weighing an estimated 74 kg, the animal was recorded by Crocodylia Brasil researchers near her nest, where there were 32 eggs. The record of a female caiman of this size is positive, because animals of this size already have great adaptation to the habitat, thus having the greatest capacity to produce healthy offspring.''

Huge Black Caiman ashore.

Area: Cocha Cashu - Peruvian Amazon

Jessica Groenendijk

''Never a dull day... or night... at Cocha Cashu! This Black Caiman was on one of the trails running along the shore of the lake. It was jaw-droppingly huge; the photo doesn't show it well (nobody wanted to stand next to it but we think it was about 5 metres in length and at least 1 metre wide). Definitely a highlight!''

A foreign video showing Alligators vs Black caimans.

I don't know what the guy is speaking. He looks like a credible zoologist.

Can anybody here translate what he says?,  Not able to make out anything.
