There's supposed to be six, but I've only seen five on the cams. Some of them are younger though and look like females from a distance, so potentially there's still five of them alive now.

Their fathers are the machaton males. I think they are still in the "Run away from male lions" stage, but they "occupy" a corner of their fathers former territory that the Masungulo males haven't really ventured into yet. I think their recent vocalising led to the masungulo males coming in and this happening.
Not sure if it’s appropriate but thought I’d share that Aruna Pavithran, a moderator and sensational contributor to the Timbavati FB Group has reportedly passed away. I’ve lost count on the amount of lion history I’ve learned from her posts in that group. Very saddened at her loss. May she RIP.
