Hopefully! She was seen mating with the Tumbela male between 10-20 of August. In late November/early December we will have new cubs. I hope so

As the Styx Pride rested in a cool open area, the three adults noticed a few hyenas moving in their direction. As they came too close for comfort, they ran after them and chased the hyenas away while their 11 cubs stayed and watched from a safe distance.

Seems like a large shift in lion dynamics is coming, because N’was males are seen in Londolozi which means that they really will expand north. Bboys and N. Avocas should watch out in case they do attempt a takeover. S. Avocas should be safe for now as N’was males are showing little interest in expanding east.

The Nkuhuma young male is still trying to take over the Mangheni pride and the Tumbelas (hopefully) will add the Tsalala pride into their territory. Btw when was the last time Tsalala females were seen with Bboys?

Anyways, lots of interesting times ahead in SS

It yet doesnt mean that N'ws will expand north, even before they where seen all the way to Singita.

A long time, since the clash between Tsalala and Kambulas.

They went to Singita to kill the cubs of OM. But they didnt commit a full takeover. I dont get the point why males would kill cubs and invade territory but not oust the resident males.

They didnt go to Singita to kill cubs.. They where roaming/exploring/hunting just like now, they bumped into Mhangenis and obiviously they will attack them as they are not their pride, they where not interested into takeover as they returned back south next day.

Males and females will kill every cub which they encounter which is not theirs, the same as they will kill hyenas, leopards or wild dogs cubs also.

Also, theres no evidence that they directly killed Mhangeni cubs, some cubs where just missing after that encounter, few of them prob got lost..

No much information about this sighting. I wonder if they are being chased or they are in fact chasing to someone.

It is possible that they just bumped into Manghenis. Right now, nothing can be sure yet about what N’was males will do unless if they start spending a lot of time in the north and/or mating with Kambula/Mangheni females
