There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

This is Tryggve, son of C Boy and Hildur, and brother to Snyggve. His brother was sleeping on the rock next to him. They were both watching over 2 lionesses and 6 two month old cubs.

Impressive sighting in the Ngorongoro crater, where we can see real beasts in size, mass and spectacular manes... here one of the huge males of the Lake Quintet coalition and some of the members of the Munge Mabinti pride near the Munge River. .. this sighting dates back to September 2018 the male was between 4 1/2 / 5 years old and looks like one that was in his prime, the males in the crater usually develop corporally very quickly!

-Hjalmar the Dreadful-

The stunnig MG106 one of the parents of the 3 young Lagunita males currently in the Ndutu conservation area.
_Born at the Munge Pride in the Ngorongoro crater, in 2010. In 2015, Hjalmar partnered with an unrelated male, Kijana and he became the resident males in the two prides in the southeast of the Ngorongoro crater (Lagunita and Lakette pride).
In 2017 Hjalmar was expelled from the Ngorongoro crater and his partner Kijana was possibly killed by the powerful coalition of 5 members of the lake Quintet males, since 2018 Hjalmar The Dreadful has been seen wandering around the vast NCA (Ngorongoro conservation area) and the edge of the Ndutu conservation area with some lionesses and apparently a young male as a partner!

Impressive male in the Eden of Africa or Ngorongoro Crater testing the air with his vomeronasal/Jacobson organ (Flehmen response) to determine the reproductive status of the females of one of the prides that he and his companions dominate, this is one of the five males of the Lake Quintet coalition...
