There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Captive

He was sighted in the Tanzania NP. So he is a wild lion.

Sorry but this lion is not wild, it comes from a zoo that is not even in Africa.
Here are more videos of the same lion

Two easy Identification markers are his color and overweight appearance. You will not see wild Lions that look like that.

I asked the uploader now... it seems he is the owner of that video. So I will wait... and if this lion is captive... then I will delete my post.

Honestly I was also impressed by his size. Though... only few lion can reach such bodies.

@Pckts
Who is the biggest Lion of Masai Mara?
Caesar... the son of notch.(weighed 284 kg according to a reliable person but we need more infos... but that weight is not out of question)

Or is the lion EARLESS larger? So its very hard for me. One image where Earless had the same body position...

I made a accurate comaprison between both. I made the skull equally large and I looked at the proportions. Hindlegs and forelegs have the same height. I made it perfect.

It seems that caesar is bigger than Earless. But Earless look better and has the better arms. Hindlegs... I think Caesar has the upper hand.
@Phanterinae I can "confirm" the chat between you and Reuben Matthew's. He wrote me exactly the same.

Caesar hasn't been weighed, or at least verified by anyone with real first hand knowledge. As you can see, Rueban is a photographer, hence why he's asking you to come on safari. We have Caesars capture already documented with no actual scale on site, so he'd have to have been weighed on another capture and as of yet, no body has been able to get verification or proof of that claim.

In regards to who's larger between Earless and Caesar, I've seen numerous people say Caesar was the larger Lion.

They're just a random uploader, you can see it with the Tiger video the posted where the geo-tagged it from the Sunderbans which ofcouse, it wasn't.
He's a captive cat, you can see him in his enclosure from the videos @Mwarcaar posted.
