Impossible to estimate the weight ofcourse, but such lions can be anywhere from 200-250 kg! But it's always allowed to make an estimate, I do it myself all the time.

Such lions can be anywhere from 170kg - 250kgs and the 250kg number is very rarely seen at all. You see far more under 200kg than over, just saying. So I think the 200kg-215kg is a fair estimate for a good sized lion. Obviously estimates are just that, estimations, and nothing more.

Notch boys Ron and Bob recently .The 4 brothers are spending time with two of their neighbouring prides with Notch 2 and Bob with the Rongai pride while Ron and Caesar are with the neighbouring look out pride .But join up in the evenings it seems. The wilderbeast are almost two months late this year they normally give the carnivores sustenance from may to sometimes start of December .Lions have been the most affected with prides with little young ones almost starving .Prides with no resident herbivores like buffalo are having to take more risks looking for a meal .Cats like leopards are not so affected but lions are most vulnerable to wilderbeast absence since they are territorial and it's very high risk crossing into another prides territory for food.At the on set of the wilderbeast migrations lionesses start giving birth and mating as there will be enough food to sustain their cubs for the first critical 6 Months of their lives .Lionesses with little cubs are most affected just like the recently, the Rekero females who took their current cubs by two other males to feed with the Notch boys who are not their fathers. One cub got killed for eating with the big males and not waiting like the rest of his/her siblings whose lives were spared- lion etiquette .PC M.Matu - Bonfire Safaris and Events Kenya.

This is the male lion spotted in masai mara 1995 along with his coalition partner. You are seeing most probably the FATHER OF OUR GREAT NOTCH. He resembles exactly like his father if it is true.PC Kyamas

You can not belive what amazing thing keep happening in wild, specially lion coalition, it is more complex than what we have ever thought. If you know Notches, Probably you also would have heard of Earless, 3.8 year old male lion, He was recently chased away out of his pride by famous notch's boys. Also, Notch boys chased the 12 year old look out male (I don't know when and if really chased by notches).
What amazing happened is that these 2 nomadic male lion of completely different age formed a odd coalition.
I think its kind of first verified coalition of males, What do you think ?

Earless male lion (Left) with old male lion from lookout pride

Further, Time will tell if Young earless starts a coalition with his 4 younger brothers as the old male is in his last years .The age difference is immerse. Previously the old male lion was mistakenly thought of Ron.
The old male most likely mate earless mothers, aunties and sisters as well.
Earless and younger brothers have to move somewhere else away from their marten, all pride were the pair is currently to find different females.
Plus the Mara is now a place for large male coalitions . Large coalitions will trash out the 2 males easily .And that's were it gets complicated a bit and if the 4 original Notch sons Ron , Bob ,Notch 2 and Caesar come back from neighboring look out pride, again they will chase the pair off.
There is not doubt that Earless is a huge lion, at 3.8 he is probably even large than his new 12 old mate.
