There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. || The Cane tigers of Terai ||??
.
Because not all tiger resides in the forests, some lives in the cane fields along the fringes of Terai forests. And from here lies the devastating conflict that is a major problem here. In the Terai region of Uttar Pradesh Man-Animal conflict is a major threat to wildlife, which not only proves fatal to the Man living along the forest fringes, their cattles but also our precious wildlife which are already facing threat for extinction i.e. Tigers, Leopards and Elephants. All of the three species are endangered. While efforts are done to curb such instances and avoid such circumstances but then there is the villagers that has with time become intolerant to any wildlife intruding their fields but at the same time trying to encroach their lands, benefit from forest produce and occasionally involved in hunting the prey base of these forests. We need strong action if not laws by the Forest Department and Government that aims to remove any encroachment around and inside these forests thereby providing for a safe haven to the wildlife to freely survive and thrive.
