RE: Lions of Timbavati - Hairy tummy - 08-22-2022 253kg! Must be one of the heaviest wild lions? Fantastic looking boys! RE: Lions of Timbavati - T I N O - 08-22-2022 (08-22-2022, 04:34 AM)Hairy tummy Wrote: 253kg! Must be one of the heaviest wild lions? On average male lions weigh between 210kg to 250kg , and females between 170kg to 190kg When Ximpoko was weighed by first, he weighed around 283kg. But the Leopard research project noticed that he had eaten recently, which indicates that his weight with empty stomatch was between 250/255kg. Which is quite impressive, due the fact one 220kg male lion is already considere a big specimen. Ximpoko was a true beast. I'll post about the Ghost males soon, It's a interesting story how these two boys have meet back in the day RE: Lions of Timbavati - Gavskrr - 08-22-2022 (08-22-2022, 04:15 AM)Timbavati Wrote: A true beast of male lion - 1/2 Mabande males "Ximpoko,, another massive beast of the Timbavati Does Ximpoko have any relationship with the male Mabande who dominated the ross pride for a period or is the names only known? Mabande joined forces with Ximpoko in KNP RE: Lions of Timbavati - T I N O - 08-22-2022 UPDATE: The 6 breakaway Birmingham males travelled about 13 kilometres through the heart of the Mayambula’s territory and have just killed a buffalo on the prides northern outskirts. RE: Lions of Timbavati - T I N O - 08-22-2022 Lion dynamics heating up hot in Balule. The two well-known and impressive Sark/Masungulo males were sighted a few days ago feeding of a male lion carcass that they've killed in the same day!! It makes sense for them not to waste any potential food despite what the intentions are. RE: Lions of Timbavati - Tonpa - 08-23-2022 Unfortunately they killed the short tailed male this time. They have killed their own son a couple of years ago RE: Lions of Timbavati - T I N O - 08-23-2022 One of the Masungulo males seen before he met up with the young Kudyelas. He went back to fetch his partner that night before returning to chase the intruders off and killing one of the young Kudyela males. *This image is copyright of its original author @pondoro_game_lodge and @robertprehnphotographyBalule,posted: July 2022 *This image is copyright of its original author

Smart move by this guy, he knows going to chase the intruders is too risky so he decided to reunite with his brother first. How many Kudyela males are there now? |
