On average male lions weigh between 210kg to 250kg , and females between 170kg to 190kg
When Ximpoko was weighed by first, he weighed around 283kg. But the Leopard research project noticed that he had eaten recently, which indicates that his weight with empty stomatch was between 250/255kg. Which is quite impressive, due the fact one 220kg male lion is already considere a big specimen. Ximpoko was a true beast.

I'll post about the Ghost males soon, It's a interesting story how these two boys have meet back in the day

Does Ximpoko have any relationship with the male Mabande who dominated the ross pride for a period or is the names only known?

They were just partner. Mabande joined forces with Ximpoko in KNP

UPDATE: The 6 breakaway Birmingham males travelled about 13 kilometres through the heart of the Mayambula’s territory and have just killed a buffalo on the prides northern outskirts.

Lion dynamics heating up hot in Balule. The two well-known and impressive Sark/Masungulo males were sighted a few days ago feeding of a male lion carcass that they've killed in the same day!!

Update of Sark/Masungulo males and the young male killed (Very likely they've killed another Kudyela/Takazile young male)

Very interesting information. It makes sense for them not to waste any potential food despite what the intentions are.

The Sark males are not a joke. They have killed their own son a couple of years ago

RE: Lions of Timbavati - T I N O - 08-23-2022

One of the Masungulo males seen before he met up with the young Kudyelas. He went back to fetch his partner that night before returning to chase the intruders off and killing one of the young Kudyela males.

Smart move by this guy, he knows going to chase the intruders is too risky so he decided to reunite with his brother first. How many Kudyela males are there now?
