To be honest, I don't think in Kruger, Since there are roughly 2500 lions more or less. Which means that the majority of those lions aren't known and followed on a daily basis. Although, I'll dare to say, the oldest males in the Greater Kruger National Park (Manyeleti, Sabi Sands, Klaserie and Timbavati. Is there any older photos of them, from younger age? Hairy Belly was considered as the oldest lion in Kruger by some people, when he died he was 16 years old RE: Lions of Timbavati - T I N O - 10-28-2021 (10-28-2021, 05:20 AM)Mdz123 Wrote:HB was born in late 2006 to early 2007. Could be the most likely scenario. I heard from a Klaserie guy they were born in 2005, I've doubt it. Although if I had to lean towards one it would be 2007. That's what i told to Umbabat owners a few years back while I help them with lion census in their area. I will talk with a friend who has spend his life in Klaserie. Let's see if the first guy was correct or not. RE: Lions of Timbavati - T I N O - 10-28-2021 I found it! Here the lion research made by Umbabat. It was really excited talk and being part of the Umbabat lion research last year via socialmedia.. I was very fortunate by give them a hand to Umbabat a hand with information the old River pride males and Skorro males a few years ago. Here I mentioned that the old River pride males were born in 2007/2008. Which means, I perhaps got the Klaserie ranger word wrong when he told me 2005. My mistaken. http://umbabat.com/projects/biodiversity-management/research/lion-research/ RE: Lions of Timbavati - Tr1x24 - 10-28-2021 (10-28-2021, 07:16 PM)Timbavati Wrote: I found it!
