1 of Nkuhlu with female at Umkumbe? Dont think so.

Isnt it more likely to be DM Talamati young male with 1 of his sisters?

If anyone has ID of this lion?    It is believed he has killed a young member of the Styx Pride.    A female.

Is this a Kambula?   It was said he was accompanied by a female.   @Tr1x24 Do you recognize?

Sorry for the graphic image
This is heartbreaking.
R.I.P beautiful princess.

But that lion in the pic isn’t the Talamati boy.   Ear marks are off

Idk, but if Nkuhlus are all the way to Umkumbe, they would be spotted somewhere, and doubt that only 1 would come with female.

Maybe Plains Camp male (S. Avocas son) with sister? They visited Sabi Sabi in December 2022, 1 male and 1 female :

Sad news, Ndhzengas abandoned the Styx pride way too soon and they aren't being as lucky as the Southern pride.

I thought there was 5 boys and only 1left

There’s confusion  w how many females / males there were in total to start with.

It was believed It was originally 6 females and 5 males.   But now I’m thinking it was 7f 4m.

After the initial losses to Kambula and Gijimas, it was thought to have left 2 males and 6 females.

Later, a female was killed by Nkuhulus thinking it left 2 males and 5 females.  But then later reports said it was only 1 male remaining so that must have left 6 females.

So depending which start number you begin with,  Today w this new loss, it’s Floppy Ear and now 5 female siblings

That makes sense definitely heart broken tho. I was praying for a Styx coalition but now he’s the only young male but hopefully the young females can help grow the Styx prides numbers!

Im very sad to hear that they lost another cub, but the good news is that since most of these survors are females, and in about a year the pride will soon have multiple adult lionesses ready to mate, and if the Nkuhlus take over, we can see a massvie rebirth of the pride as Nkuhlus can bring stability for a long time, they are 7 males in total.

Big coalition doesnt mean long term stability for certain pride.

Styxs where under 2 big coalitions previously, Bboys and Ndhzengas, and both ditched them after around 1 year or so.

As big coalitions "change" territory faster because they have upper hand over their neighbours.

By the looks of it Gijimas will be next Styxs pride males.

Nkuhlus are still nomads around Skukuza, nobody knows where they will settle.
