There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Every time his own cubs came anywhere near him he would get ever so grumpy and either snarl continuously at them or just stand up and move off. One very grumpy Dad indeed but one very very protective one. He stands between them and other marauding males who would kill them instantly if they came across them in order to bring the females back into estrous so they can mate with them. Masai Mara, Kenya.

We were delighted to get our first proper look at Marsh Pride lioness Charm's two tiny new cubs. She brought them out into the open to meet the rest of the Pride two days ago. Charm and her cubs are together with Marsh Pride lionesses Kabibi who has two slightly older cubs and Dada and her cub, they are also with Rembo, (Charm's adult daughter) and Kito who is heavily pregnant and is expected to have her cubs anyday now. The two male lions Jambo and Karibu are with the lionesses and of the two Jambo is the most affectionate with the cubs.
