One couldn't say it better. About this fact and about what happened - I reminder recently - about the Charleston males lions (#198). In one second we pass from the full beatitude to the outburst of anger ! Lions are Shakespearian animals, passionate animals, animals of passion.

Date: August 2015 Place: Mala Mala. It is fairly unusual to see lions crossing a river. We were lucky to watch these two brothers swimming to reach the other bank to unite with their other two brothers who had somehow managed to get to the other side. The reunion was a sight worth watching. Lots of grunting, rubbing, rolling and expressions of joy.  *This image is copyright of its original author

About #760: Dark Mane starts to suffer from a cataract, doesn't he ? The cataract seems to be enough frequently occuring among the big cats. About #765: On the photos you show the right Dark Mane's eye is intact ! Not injured at all. Do these photos date for a long time ? Because a cataract will not come from a day to the following one. An eye like the Dark Mane's one on the #760' is the result of a long process. Except if the fact that the big cats' cataract is fast is proved. What I don't know... Thus, at first, I think that Dark Mane was hurt (#765), with no consequency on his right eye. But a long time after, and now, Dark Mane is suffering from his cataract (#760). His cataract came after his wound. |
