There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Losing a rhino is always going to be tough but at least it died a natural death and very quickly nature started the breakdown of the body in the form of apex predators. The Maputo male, old Shish male and one of the Nwanetsi males put their differences aside to capitalize on the bonanza laid out for them. Over the next few days a multitude of carnivores fed on the carcass until there was almost nothing remaining.

Dynamic male lions population in the Kruger National Park. The more the fights between males are numerous, the more there are coalitions... And at the end the lions population of the Kruger is increasing. It was estimated between 1800 and 2500 lions, the exact number being difficult to determine because regularly more cubs are discovered.

" n the video today, we take a look at male lions overall. Lion numbers in Kruger, territory fights, why they fight to death, ect.

We also take a look at the highly populated areas of the kruger national park, when it comes to lion numbers.

This video features the likes of the Gomondwane male lions, the Lower Sabie male lions, the Hippo Pools male lion, the Nkuhlu male lion, Casper the white lion and many more.

Will we ever really understand lions, and why they do what they do? Why do male lions fight until death, for territory and battle each other so viciously?

We all try to learn their ways better, day by day. For me, that is what makes male lions such magnificent animals. The mystery behind them is always open to learn from, and that alone, is a blessing.

Hats off to the old Shish male for just being such a survivor in a hostile environment.
