Can a Lone Male Lion have a successful predation on a Adult Bull Buffalo?

Im also certain single lionesses have done it. There are certain groups of lions that specialize in buffalo hunting.
There is certainly more video of single female lions taking large buffalo than male lions. Buffalo gender is often
not clear in these photos. Id double down on the fortune I'd won from the male lion bet, some of those are bulls.

Food is food. When hungry enough a lion could care less about gender. He just wants to eat.
Nuff said.

Lion predation in the Serengeti accounts for 23% to 28% of total buffalo mortality, which means that almost half the males are ultimately killed by lions. Considering most hunts are during the night, it is highly believable that a single male lion has killed buffalo bull before. Considering there is a couple accounts of two lionesses taking down large mature bulls, a single male who is stronger can do so.

I posted a video already of a young male lion that killed a large buffalo, bull or cow I'm unsure, but you claimed it was a carcass and ate on a few days already, no it was said in the video, by the cover of the night the male killed it himself.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YiqbCERag8

I'll post more when i get a chance to, like I mentioned a lot of lion hunts happen at night, as well as african is not as open and easily driven through as many think, accounts also probably have happened that just arent uploaded or posted on the interent, internet isn't everywhere in the middle of africa. So is this guy...

The problem is that because these pics don't show the completed job, they will be dismissed.  Ironically.... when we see pictures or videos of a dead carcass being consumed by a lone lion, they are dismissed as well.

Oh the blindness of bias....

Irregardless of gender, that's a big buffalo. Adult male lions stand pretty tall on their hind legs, indicating that buff's shoulder height is significant.
Very possibly a bull.

That's a bull no doubt, not sure if it's a okey or massive bull. those savannah type buffalos are possible to sex. if you look at them closely just as with bison. the bulls vill have larger horns a bigger and thicker neck, and some old and mature bulls has a sort of dubble cheeck (a skinn flick under his cheeck) no females does have that, they does as well have much more massive faces, and much more stocky bodies. adult bulls are a different in apparense than females not just sizewise. and on that picture it's a bull.

I know @Pckts does not agree with me on sexing buffalos and we have had that discussion before, but on adult spicimens I do know how to sex them without looking at genitalia or size.

Since we have already gone over the Fact that the still images show nothing more than a single moment of a much larger picture that could or could not be a successful hunt, other pride members etc.
We have still yet to see a single account of a Eye witness confirming the successful hunt of a Lone lion preying on a Lone Adult Bull Buffalo. I will edit this post to let @tigerluver which posts to add to this thread.

At the end of the day, it does NOT have testicles. That is proof beyond a shadow of a doubt, and if it does, they have clearly not dropped meaning it is a juvenile.
I will go with Packers reasoning since he is involved in the longest running lion study in history, spanning over 40 years. That is clearly enough data to provide ample time to get at least one viewing of the predation in question.
@Pantherinae, you know I know that attempts have been made and probably there has been at least 1 successful hunt. But........ there is still no data or proof of it ever occurring, and you must agree with that. Since you guys have looked through all stories possible to try and prove me wrong and you know I have looked as well.

Nice account, still a female buffalo though, and we are speaking of a Adult Bull Buffalo, not a female.

I aked if he had seen a male lion kill a big buffalo bull he answered: yes I have.
The female buffalo kill was just to say that he he said he saw that last week I think, but I Asked him just now if there was a bull or not I'll post it as soon as I get the answer.

Posts added. Also, when one has nothing more to say then "Agreed", "Second this", etc., just hit the "thank you" button rather than making one or two word posts.

I think he was simply responded to the the question "Big maturre buffalo" and didn't fully read it. Since his response specifically mentions a Female Buffalo and not a Bull Buffalo. Why would he respond with a female account when asking about a Bull?
You may want to ask him again, clearly to get the account of a Bull Buffalo and not a Female buffalo.

 Edit:
I didn't see that you were asking again, my mistake.
I look forward to the answer, thanks for doing some research on it, @Pantherinae.

2 very shy adult male lions were found, and seen from a distance before they ran off, another male lion was seen pulling down a buffalo bull one morning, while an adult male lion and lioness pair were seen mating.

*not sure if a bull, but judging my head, looks to be male*
We also had a sighting of one large, unknown male lion on a buffalo kill. He fed for three days only with some interaction between him and some hyena. We are not sure where he was from of where he has disappeared to again.
