There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Even the behaviour of tigers while fighting and walking I have observed indicate as if they have fast twitch fibres only till elbow but anyhow they are CATS always ready to OUTSMART every animal around them.
First off, bears are quite smart on their own, just as smart as big cats. That picture of the statue with the bear's muscular structure you posted was a better comparison than a few pictures. The ones drawing these pictures don't really seem to know the exact muscular differences between the two, and only get the muscular anatomy but not the muscular fiber distribution right. Real and skinned specimens of both a tiger and brown bear (both naturally dead, of course) are needed to prove your point. But I still think that a tiger has more fast-twitch fibers in all of its arm length.
