There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Evolution in 3D-dimensions of the T-rex's depiction which follows the human vision about dinosaurs. From the low-motion cold-blooded animals which evolved into much more dynamic and swifter creatures.

More impressive than Sue, Stan and Scotty, hhe biggest one t-rex ever known as "Goliath". But some extrapolations allow us to hope finding an other one even bigger.

The largest Tyrannosaurus rex ever known may have just been discovered! Goliath is an absolutely enormous T. rex femur found last year in South Dakota. In this special feature we discuss the size estimates of this individual and what it means for the maximum size of the tyrant "ptile king.

Why was T-Rex so much bigger than Tarbosaurus ? These two apex huge predators lived at the end of the Cretaceous period. Tarbosaurus lived around 70 milllions years ago, T-Rex between 68 and 66 millions years ago. Tarbosaurus coexisted in Mongolia with huge sauropods and Xenosaurus. And could weigh 6 tons. T-Rex is more and more known as and when we discover some new specimens: 120 actually (Tarbosaurus only 30). And the T-Rexes unearthed seem to be more and more big, able to weigh till 11 to 12 tons. Why such a big difference ? Perhaps because of their preys' identity. T-rex often hunted heavily armored dinosaurs: Triceratops very probably and perhaps too the ankylosaurus. It's probably a reason why it possessed a so powerful bite force. But also perhaps why its stature was so much huger than the Tarbosaurus's one. But that only remains an hypothesis.
