The Matimbas never spent much time with the Mangheni girls on a plural sense. Some of the females left their territory and went to mate with them, in the classical way lionesses do when they want to drive the male off and shift his attention, using the false oestrus to get them to follow them.
But as a pride, I never read about all of the females mating with them, while on the other hand as a comparison, we do know that the Majingilane spent time regularly with them, Golden mane especially and Dark mane and Scar nose as well.
And also, the Matimbas never really spent regular time in the eastern part of the sabi sands, outside of Londolozi to make one think they managed to mate enough times with all of them to sire the little ones, all of that without the knowledge of the resident males that spent a lot of time with the Mangheni pride.
It just doesn't make sense, which is why I believe that the Majingilane males are the fathers of the Mangheni kids rather than the Matimba males.
