Incorrect, nowhere in Jungle book is not written that bees afraid of dholes... Actually is written opposite - that all animals in the jungle afraid of forest bees, that's why Mowgli running from the dholes intentionally attracted them close to the bees nests...
Agree with you concerning points 1,3 and 4. Brown bears for sure don't inhabit Central India, I have lived in this country long ago and know a little bit the forest inhabitans. But lets not forget that the book was written for English young auditory.
