There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve, yesterday 05 April 2016:
"After spending the day sleeping in a Tambotie Tree thicket, the Southern Pride's two cubs spent some time playing with the group. This morning the males had separated from the females and were moving together through the reserve."

Today 06 April 2016:
"Wow, what a sensational sighting we had last night on the reserve! Our guests sat in awe as we watched the Charleston male lions pull down an old buffalo bull! The power of these animals is just incredible."

Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve:
This morning the two Charleston males were still feasting on the buffalo which they killed a couple of nights ago and there’s not yet any sign of the females in the nearby area.

From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve:
"The feast is done! The well fed Charleston males were moving through their territory this morning after handing over the last of the buffalo remains to scores of waiting vultures."

From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve:
"The Southern Pride was very active this morning with both Charleston males mating with two different females. The two brothers got into a few fights as a result, but it was clear that the smaller male was being the aggressor this time around."

The Southern Pride cubs were playing around with the whole pride this morning and later on, the smaller Charleston male was seen mating with one of the lionesses again.

"The one Charleston male, along with four Southern Pride females and two cubs, missed an opportunity hunting a waterbuck bull so they made their way to a fallen Marula Tree to clean some nails!"

From Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve:
"It seems like the two Charleston males went on a territorial patrol last night as they were found far from the females this morning. While approaching a waterhole, they bumped into two large buffaloes, but decided against trying their luck so they moved off a short distance to rest. Maybe tonight we’ll see some action."

Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve:
The two Charleston males were seen yesterday afternoon moving through the reserve on quite a mission, presumably looking for the females, but they are also looking quite hungry at the moment.

And this last one is a truly remarcable picture. How I love seeing lions patrolling together.
