No doubt I can sense his bias but Floppy Ear has already been seen roaring. I’m not so sure about the final part of the caption tho, it makes it seem like he’s roaring to a nearby coalition when there’s not a chance he’s that stupid, providing said coalition are not entirely nomadic and just as young as him. That’s something I wouldn’t be able to believe without proof.

Hi I have asked this before. Who is he son of? Was her mother the older Rollercoster lioness or the other lioness? I do not think he could be son of the Birmingham daughter?

Most likely the B'ham Daughter is indeed his mother.... There are multiple reports indicating this, plus he was seen with her alone on a few occasions during the nomadic phase.  Either way, he's related to the Rollercoaster daughter because she's the mother of the B'ham daughter....so either son or grandson.  The R. daughter is related to the Mapogos because her fathers are brothers or half brothers to them.  There are some who think that those males could have also fathered the 2 youngest Mapogos (KT and Mr. T)

Hi yes good point. I had thought it would have been interesting to see the young Styxt male lion son of Birmingham grow. I thought he also had a resemblance to the Mapogos to the Rollercoster male lions. He had I thought similar eyes and maybe similar colors to them. The Othowa male lion may he rest in peace; was also a beautiful lion like the Styxt male lion; I actually thought there was similarities. They were related but it was interesting seeing them grow up. This young Styxt male lion does remind me of the Rollercoster male lions and the Syxt male lion son. I was going to say the Magingilane daughter was also daughter to the Rollercoster daughter lions? Or was the Magingilanes daughter to another Styxt lioness?

I'm not sure about that one.  I'm also not sure of which lioness was the mother of the unfortunate Styx Male, former partner to the NK Male.  If he was the son of the R. daughter, than he was VERY different looking than his B'ham daughter half-sister!  The Styx have been unlucky with their males....much like the Tsalala Pride.  Looks like another solo male for the last Tsalala Lioness, too, by the way. Sad

Yes the Matimba male lions I think did not have cubs with the Styxt lioness that grew into adults. The Birmingham male lions came and the Matimba male lions left the Styxt, Nukhuma and Torchwood prides. Before that the Styx lionesses had more, but they were not seen probably other lions were involved. Yes then the young Styxt male son of the half brothers of the Mapogos. Yes there have been young Styxt male lions; it was exciting to see the Birmingham Styxt male lion son may he rest. Hopefully  the young Styxt male lion is successful. Yes the Tsalala lioness has 2 cub daughters and cub male?

The photographer's claims may not be impossible to be true, since at least 2008 both the Mapogo as well as the Rollercoaster male were mating with the Styx females and the rangers did not know if the cubs belonged to Mapogos, Rollercoaster or a mix of both.

Hi yes, but the they were Rollercoster daughter in both with the Styxt and the Sparta lionesses they were born before the Mapogos had cubs with the Styxt lioness and the Sparta lioness. The Rollercoster daughters could have been sisters to the younger Mapogos. They could be sons to the Rollercoster male lions or maybe just half brothers, but the last two Rollercoster male lions looked a lot like Kinky Tail and Mr.T.

Unless she was born in 2007 ( which is very unlikely because reports of the time state that the last RC was believed to be the father of the cubs and his brother killed by the croc in mid 2007 wasn't ), it's impossible to know if her father was the Rollercoaster or the Mapogo.

Reports of the time are clear:

Mid 2007, one of the Roller Coaster males was killed by a Crocodile. Since then, his brother has maintained dominance over the Styx pride and is believed to be the Sire of their current cubs. There have been a number of reports of the Styx lionesses seen mating with males from the Mapogo Coalition but the old Roller Coaster male is usually in attendance with the Styx pride and accepts the cubs as his. So don’t tell him they might not all be his.

The latest reports indicate the two oldest cubs were sired by the Roller Coaster male, the other seven it is unsure rather it was the Roller Coaster or the Mapogos or a combination of both that sired them. March reports indicate another lioness has very young cubs that were sired by the Mapogo/Eyrefield males.

If the Sym is the son of the "Rollercoaster" daughter then yeah, he can very well be a Mapogo grandson since it's impossible to know who sired her, Mapogo or Rollercoaster... not that matters much, RC and Mapogo were brothers and resembled each other.

He looks like he is related to the Birmingham’s male lions. Maybe he is son of the Birmingham’s daughter?
