There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
Casper contact calling after being separated from his brothers during the night. However, the good news is all of the 4 brothers have been reunited later in the day. 10th January Credit: Wildlife photographer
Casper and his brothers are so handsome! They were some way off their recent, normal territory around Satara Rest-camp, as this footage was filmed on the S100 about 2.5 Km west of the H1-3 South-east of Satara Rest-camp.
This area is normally controlled by the N'wanetsi Pride and the Southern Kruger Park Pride sometimes wanders over the N'wanetsi River onto the S100. Recently some lions of the Nsemani Pride were also spotted in this area.
I'd love to be able to see their pride in photos or video clips, but sadly we rarely ever get to know about any prides in the KNP. It's mostly some lion coalitions we get info. about, once in awhile. All the lionesses in the park are just unknown individually. Once a lioness goes there, it's over, as far as whereabouts, fate, etc. All we know are the supposed pride names that ID them, and maybe the general location of where they are.
