There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Recent conversation on brutality of man vs animals

All, I am very sorry, but I have deleted the thread I recently created on difference of the brutality of man compared to other animals. The thread quickly became political, which is something we work very hard to keep out of WildFact. The web is full of such discussions, and WildFact is our sanctuary from such talk, therefore I made the decision to remove the thread, so that we all might return to posting about much more enjoyable and important topics, the animals of the world.

OK, I understand your decision and to say the truth, I feel me a litle responsible for that, a little bit culprit. Even if I apologized for having been frank at the end of my first post about this subject. Because, in my own opinion we could absolutely not compare a lion's ferocity leaded by the instinct of behaviour with the man's cruaulty leaded by "the intelligence" and its avatars like speculations, sordid ambitions and so on. The list is long.

What I want to say but it isn't an incrimination at all, the question was naive, candid. And, certainly, we reacted with too much enthousiam, or even causticity for being polite.

Yes, you're right to add Wildfact is a sanctuary, if you conceive it so. But let us not delude ourselves, some actualities even concerning exclusively the animal world, the wild animals, at any moment are able to make you remind you this very sad reality: we're perhaps living the last years of the wild life within the continents.

Spalea, the fault was all mine, I created the thread, it was nobody else.

You shouldn't have deleted the thread, it was a great and important thread. People should be aware of the sheer amount of atrocities that humans do to wild nature and animals.

This forum is about the natural world/animals, and that thread showed that there's multiple members of Wildfact that love nature & animals, and totally condemn and hate the vile and disgusting acts of cruelty and abuse humans do to wildlife, domestic animals, and the planet in general.

I think, especially on an animal forum, important issues like this should be discussed for the general public to read and learn about.

When you expose and discuss issues like this, it can urge some people to actually donate to animal charities.

LOL, My friend, we are actively discussing this amongst the Ownership and Mod Team as we speak. We agree precisely, that it is an important discussion to have. We are working on laying down the ground rules, to keep the thread on topic. We may well be restoring that original thread, with some minor changes. Stay tuned, Apex.
