There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Other male lion coalitions from Masai Mara

I was just thinking about something after seeing a comment of Orkirikoi probably not being able to keep his territory after this, with all the coalitions around his territory right now, maybe they can trick the others into staying away. For example, if Inselberg males hear 3 BRBs roaring in Survey area, they might consider this their territory and think twice about trespassing, same way Kaskaz males presence could make them think twice, especially as they aren’t familiar with the local coalitions.

I don’t think they’ll stick around anyways, but if u get lucky with a few lionesses, u never know. Anyways long term, Orkirikoi will definitely lose his territory unless he partners with new males, but for right now, I could see him just about being able to hold on.
