There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

3 of the 4 musketeers this morning. Never seen Scarface walk so well, very slight limping even after sitting down for an hour...Hunter was playing a staring competition (he blinked first!) and Sekio was injured and limping (perhaps from fight at Easter although looks recent). Morani off mating. Rest of Pride nearby and kind of content with a warthog they all shared.

#WhyILoveKenya; even if Lipstick is getting older now, he still wants to pass more of his genes to the next generation of lions of masai mara. Here he was checking out one of the topi girls urine, to check out if she is ready for mating. This is called the "flehmen response". I think he might be mating her in couple of days and you know that means more little lipsticks?

Look at who we found this evening with our guests,Lolpapit and his brother Olbarnoti from Olare Motorogi Conservancy are at Double cross and only less than 2 km from where we spotted both Lipstick and Blackie.
We left them walking deeper into the reserve and can't wait to see on what the morning has for us.

Scar face this morning at Mara triangle. It is almost a year now when scar begun Limping on the hind right leg. He has been threated several times last year by the KWS vet.

The vet told us it is not advicsable to dart the lion several times in a span of short period. Good enough his brothers and the entire pride have provided food for the aging scar face.
