"Brothers" Taken on the last Mara trip, late afternoon and 10000 ISO. Im afraid I can't identify the lions or the place as we were flying about between the Northern Conservancy and the Main Reserve...

Pretty sure this was in the Northern Conservancy near Kicheche Mara Main Camp as it was getting on and we were ready for Sundowners ;-)

This evening Timothy Leperes Laur and I came across the hunter which is one of the four musketeers, two of them ie sikio and Morani were like three kilometers away from him.


The injury doesn't look good, but kind of confusing, looking closely there was like three punctures, very close, and swollen...

We saw this big guy and his brother yesterday morning in the Masai Mara. We had the opportunity to see him take down a Hyena at full speed, he then made sure it was dead and walked away. Both being apex predators, the Lion and the Hyena kill each others young to decrease the competition for food.

It looks like Scar's  leg will not recover soon , he will have an handicap like Mohican , Hope i'm wrong but it looks nasty

Since he doesn't seem to have an external injury, what I've read is that it must be something internal.

Now, from looking at that pic, it seems exactly the same that Hip Scar Majingilane has. 

Maybe he screw that hip up in a hunt. 

Anyway, he's a tough man. He'll put that up like Hip Scar has, most likely. Besides, he's got his brothers. Reply
