There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

@Majingilane @Ngala: about #160 and #161:

Awesome and beautiful photos ! Some beautiful “grognards" (french name given to the soldiers in the trenches, veteran soldiers), soldiers of the old guard, beautiful hairy soldiers...

From Mara Triangle:
Yesterday the Scar-face lion underwent treatment on his right eye where the wound had grown bad due to scratching. The lion was treated by DSWT Vet Dr.Limo together with Mara Conservancy rangers. According to the Vet this was the tenth time being treated. (photo by D.Aruasa)

What a big boy scar is, one of my favorite males. Hope the wound heals all the way. Sedating a lion that many times might not be the best for him. But e sure looks healthy, so that is good!

@Roflcopters Yes, as far as I know, he's the youngest son of old Notch, born in 2011.

And I agree with you completely, he's a hulk. I'm sure I've posted this pic somewhere else, but I don't remember where, so here it goes. Notice the little mane, so he's much younger than now.
Also, this pic makes me think of the thick limbs of the tigers like Jai, Bheema or Kingfisher that you can appreciate in videos.

And this video, to show how he dwarfs a lady.

@Roflcopters

Yes, I'll link it here: Earless Male Lion.
This is one of his last pics, and I agree completely on the giant statement.
