There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Born in 2007/2008 they became the dominant males of the Dundee Pride and the River Pride (River pride and Dundee pride interact as one pride).  The coalition has sired many offspring that can still be found in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve: Nharhu Males, 5 River Pride Males, River pride lionesses, etc.

It is with a heavy heart we have to tell you that there is only 1 cub left from the River Pride. We have been unable to locate the other 5 cubs and now we can only presume they have died.

Oh no.  Is there only that one cub left in the whole pride?!  Many single cubs are abandoned by the pride as a liability, unfortunately.  So sad.  Hope that little one gets the support it needs to make it somehow.

Two of the Nharhu males on a early morning patrol in the Timbavati
this picture was already posted a few days ago by @Potato
But I would like remark the mane of these two males, yes are similar, but the tone of mane is different 100%, "Mpohlo" on the left is much darked than "Xitaya" on the right.
Apparently, Mpohlo is the dominant, but who knows certainly...
Note: (Xitaya have a Blond Dark, while Mpohlo only Dark)
