How this guy survived and is still territorial to this day ( almost 3 years after Xitaya was killed by Skorro males) as a limping male, is truly outstanding.

3 Nharhu males are very big "what if", if Mpohlo didnt get TB and Skorokoro didnt injured his leg , shortly after they become territorial.

He's now been a lone pride male for longer than he shared a pride with his brothers, all while having that limp.

And I think all along with the River pride they've been thriving. I don't believe the narrative months ago that he has been a liability and the pride was struggling. I think they just were hoping for bigger coalition of males to move in.

I very much respect Skorrokorro and think he has done a great job up until now. I hope the best for him!

Legend Skorokoro was killed by young River Pride males (sons of Hosi and Socha), which are his nephews:

This ends the tale of 3 Nharhu males.

Sad news without a doubt! He had been sighted near a lodge after the attack. I didn't asked the owner If we can share them, that's why I don't posted them a few days ago

A shame, he was an incredible lion, his limp didn't slow him down as a dominant male, but to outrun other males when you limp is impossible.

I hope the Skorro son and the Nhahru cubs can survive this takeover.

Well, It's a takeover.  I don't know what else to say, this is how they go.

It's a shame that the Nharhu coalition ended up like this, they certainly didn't have the best luck and as far as I know they don't have that many descendants, just a female river pride timbavati and the western pride puppies, right?

Agreed. When a lone male gets targeted, likely a takeover to follow.

I don't know much about them, but I'd bet they aren't 5yo yet.
