There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Is there something wrong with that jaguar. Looks like swollen jaws, that looks odd for me. Maybe injured in some fight so, that jaws looking abnormal and bigger than normally because lower jaws swollen? Slightly dislocated jaws or strain in jaw muscles?

There's nothing wrong with that jaguar. Big jaws are part of their morphology, he has its mouth open to cool down.

That lower lip looks odd, I don´t remember seeing something like that usually. I still think, that maybe there is some kind of injury. Is there more information about this particular jaguar, more photos? Maybe he just have unique jaws...

The lips is normal, it may look odd to you because its mouth is open so it hangs lower but that's doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it.

Large males have large lips in general, you can see it here in this picture one from behind:
