MANED WOLF IN SERRA DOS PIRINEUS - CERRADO - BRAZIL

''In the Serra dos Pireneus also lives the maned wolf (Chrysocyon brachyurus - Illiger, 1815), the largest canid in South America, adapted to the open environments of the cerrado. Solitary, with a very wide territory, usually divided with a female. It is omnivorous and has twilight activity, with an important role in the dispersion of fruit seeds of the cerrado.''
