OE SBDM and young Avoca are in Sabi Sands, on Wildearth.

If 2 brothers meet, Orange Eyed male will need to explain some things lol.

"What the hell, Bro, just up and left me, and now you've replaced me?" All joking aside, it will be really interesting, if they do meet up, how they react to one another after so much time.

Holy cow.

How long has it been? Not even 1 year yet, right? The brothers should easily be able to recognize one another and still have a bond left, maybe? Though probably a very weakened bond by now.

Depending on the personalities anything can happen, but since they are nomads I think they could still want to hangout... both for sure think each other is dead, having the footage of the reunion would be epic regardless of what happens.

The smaller-maned BDM is in great condition lately, if he can rejoin his brother and get accepted by Avoca, it could be the key for them to become dominant males since as 2 it didn't work out for any of the lions involved here.

Not only that but the S.BDM have the experience of being dominant males and the Avoca the experience of having challenged for territory before, having clashes with Ross and Mbiri males.

Avoca is now reaching his prime, big if ( the have not even met yet ) but that could be their chance to form a coalition strong enough to have success.

Also I remember saying I wanted to see them side by side as it'd be interesting to compare lions who originally were in such distant areas from one another ( though both Timbavati lions ), and thought Avoca would probably look bigger because S.BDM was same height as Ntsevu K6, while Avoca was taller than Guernsey who although not a big lion, was a prime male with full mane.

Here it looks like Avoca is taller despite being on lower ground.

The Avoca male has a habit of looking for prides so hopefully him and the BDM will find Nkuhumas, and the brother while he’s still with them. I can see the interaction, if witnessed, as being a lil jumpy in the sense that Avoca male may try chase the other BDM, but ultimately his brother has no reason to do anything and may actually help defend him.

Things may be looking up for smaller maned BDM, real nice to see.

Yea i think "reunion" might a bit sketchy, although brothers should recognize themselves eventually, Avoca might be agressive towards him, although depends of Avoca character, of which we dont know much.

Even if they link, its very questionable if OE and Avoca will stick with him, or if he will follow them.

Would be interesting. Black damn male lions were looking on their way. Around other male lions, and younger male lion injured and ill was hard for him to move.

Hi wondering black damn male lions age? Would they be seven or eight years of age? Wondering with black damn male lions around maybe they will again around lionesses and Nukhuma lionesses ?

If Kambula male lions will not stay, and Black mane male lion and brother are with Torchwood and Imbali maybe would be good.

Wondering many interesting things. If black damn male lions return with Nukhuma and Avoca young male lion; Nukhuma young male would stay and or would Kambula male lion maybe choose to stay with Nukhuma.

Interesting. Is this the same young Avoca male that had an altercation / quick fight with Mapoza and his Monwana sons? He was chased off a kill.

Happy to see this male back in the scene!

At least one Mantimahle was sighted at Chitwa Chitwa yesterday so let's hope the SBDM / Young Avoca duo stays safe.

I believe it was the S.BDM that had a brief scuffle with the Monwana boys, unless the Avoca male also had an altercation with them that I wasn't aware of.

Ye Avoca male had the interaction described as above, the Monwana boys actually responded quicker than Mapoza to him.

It was in Timbavati 8 months ago, I always remember it and quite impressed me how he stood his ground (and then fled). If it is him (hope so :)), excited to follow his journey in SS.

Ye exact same male, there’s no other Avoca males his age. Didn’t have any brothers hence him joining the BDM.

I am trying to get an exact makeup of the numbers and ages of the members of the Torchwood Pride as of today.  Also, can anyone share any history of the pride, the fathers of the current cubs, and young males, and the background of the 4 adult lionesses?  Thanks so much
