Two of the Kambula Males in Chitwa on the elephant carcass. Do not know if these two males are the same one at MalaMala.

The unknown males are 2/4 Kambula males (K4 & K5)

Awesome video, so Kambula pride were hunting buffalo, than Floppy Ear appeared and got chased away by all of his younger brothers/sisters and their mothers
Mothers who are not only sisters of them female he has been with and probably was there
But also sisters of the males who came later to chase all their nephews and sisters away from the kill
The female with Floppy Ear ( K12) is sister to the 2 boys who in the end got the kill, just recently ( few months) left them and has been with Floopy Ear ever since
The same Floopy Ear who's fathers are the reason she was forced to leave the pride with the 2 boys who now chased away their natal pride
Ndhzengas were no where to be seen

I love Lion dynamics you just cant script this any better

I think K4 has darker mane than this first male on the video, also K5 looks quite big compared to him.

Kruger male definitely still has it in him to be dominant, it’s just him needing a partner who will stick with him.

Thats K4/K3 and K6 i think, so 2 Kambulas are still north, while K4/K3 and K5 moved south.

Funny how SBDM is just chilling and watching, then decided to bail out.

Where is S.Avoca?

NOOOO!!! I mean, you knew it was highly improbable for them all to make it to adulthood.  Hell, it might be impossible for any of them since she's alone, but this is heartbreaking.

All Possible because the wrong males are holding the Nkhuma girls.  Damn these Kambula boys.  They should all 4 be here with this pride.

you guys are correct. Some recent photos at Umkumbe and this recent altercation confirm it.

I think its for sure that K3 and K5 are the least interested males in mating so perhaps they are moving following the buffalo around

Reports today around a Singita that Tsalala has lost a cub. Still unclear of circumstances but guides heard a commotion and wjen they found her she was visibly distraught calling for the cubs. Only two surfaced and were seen.

Apparently they were attacked by some males, though luckily the PCmales intervened or it could have been a lot worse. Sadly the missing cub seems to be female.

Last week, it probably would have been those three. Kruger male is now with Nkuhuma pride.

Unlikely to be Skorro because he doesn't have a habit of hurting cubs, at least based on his interactions with the Manghenis. Could be different if it were just a single female though. But he doesn't traverse into Singita too often, so still unlikely to be him.

Actually, it could be the Kambula males too - the report I read mentioned that the PCMs chased two males away, and Singita's Wildlife report for September noted that the Kambula males had been seen near one of their lodges. If the Kambulas habitually split up as two pairs of males, the PCM might have run into one pair in Singita during this incident. Also not very likely, but possible.
