Its actually sad they didn't manage to get it on camera. It's a big problem in western sabisands. Few game drive vehicles and not many rangers. Unlike Regions like MalaMala, londolozi, sabisabi.

More Update

Ulusaba rangers updated the Singita rangers about the altercation between the Matimba Male and the 3 nomadic males. They also informed them about the tracks crossing into their area.
Ryan just confirmed to me on Instagram that the singita rangers have located the 3 nomadic males. They are currently 8km away the from the Othawa pride and the Matimba Male.

Matimba Male is still vocalising over short periods.

So rest of Kambula lionesses are coming to estrus again, and 1 already gave birth.

It seems that 11 older subadults will prob split in a half a year or so when all this new cubs will be introduced. Prob will happen the same scenario as their 6 mothers and 3 brothers split of from Mhangeni pride in early 2016 when new generation of cubs came to the Mhangeni pride.

Interesting times ahead...

Although those Kambula sub-adults males already participe in the hunts, I think the Mangheni boys were so young when they were forced to leave his natal pride, If I remember welll, the Matimba males were trying to took-over the Mangheni pride

No, MalaMala is not  part of Sabi Sand reserve for quite some time now i think.

Sabi Sands is reserve in which are numerous private reserves.

Reserves in Sabi Sands include Buffelshoek, Djuma, Elephant Plains, Cheetah Plains, Chitwa Chitwa, Nkorho, Simbambilli, Arathusa, Londolozi, Umkumbe, Nottens, Sabi Sabi, Lion Sands, Kirkman's Kamp, Singita, Exeter Leadwood, Inyati, Idube, Dulini, Leopard Hills, Savanna and Ulusaba.

Good detective work my friend. So odd to have so many sightings, and not a single image to go by, not even a fleeting glimpse.

So what is a difference between Mala Mala and those mentioned by you reserves? Isn' Mala Mala private as well? What makes it not being part of Sabi Sands?

Idk, it is private, but not in the gruop of Sabi Sands reserves.. As it said on their website, that MalaMala is located in between Sabi Sands and Kruger, and if you look at the google map you will see that MalaMala is named as reserve just like Sabi Sands, Manyeleti, Timbavati, Kruger etc..
