This happen just few min ago on live stream from MalaMala.

Im glad that we seen this, as we only see footages of Nhenha dominating Tinyo, this show us that Tinyo is badass also and can beat and dominate his bigger brother.

Nhenha is still more dominant than Tinyo but it's Tinyos turn to mate so he is showing respect. It's a brothers agreement. This is Nhenha stealing an Impala from the pride and Tinyo a week ago. There is no agreement when it comes to food. Nhenha takes first right.

It looks like he took kill from Ntsevu pride, not Tinyo.

Singita update
  • Lions have been a highlight for us this month, with a number of prides present at the same time during the middle of the month. The Mhangeni Pride, Styx Pride, Othawa Pride and Matimba male lion have been on our property in different areas. We have also had the Nkuhuma Pride make a few appearances north of the river.
  • The Mhangeni Pride were sighted in the south on a blue wildebeest kill. This was quite a sight as it brought many different scavengers, more than we would normally see. This included both black-backed and side-striped jackals, spotted hyenas and a number of vulture species: white-headed vultures, white-backed vultures and hooded vultures.
  • The Othawa Pride prefer the northern part of the property, however during this month we tracked them to the central parts where they were seen hunting impala.
  • With only four females and one sub-adult male now making up the Styx Pride, these lions are still a formidable force. The pride killed a female kudu which drew the attention of a local clan of hyenas resulting in an intense standoff between both species.
  • The sound of a male lion roaring at dusk is an intense and dramatic audio to hear. We watched the Matimba male lion vocalising hoping to get a response from the Othawa Pride.

Well yes, Nhenha is more time dominant then Tinyo, but this shows that dominance changes in a coalitions, thru many factors and situations, strongest /most agressive lion at that moment is the most dominant one.

I dont think theres some kind of "brother agreement" there, from video, Nhenha was clearly interested into that lioness, and when he came too close, Tinyo kick his ass, thats all, Tinyo was the strongest/more agressive lion at that moment.

Tinyo is clearly in the Video with the pride as well but Nhenha dominates the Kill. Therefore Nhenha dominates the kill over Tinyo as well.

Dominance definitely changes but I don't think it was that. Tinyo didn't really kick Nhenha ass, it was more like Nhenha backed down. Nhenha was also not interested in the Lioness, he tried greeting Tinyo but Tinyo saw it as a threat. Nhenha was seen mating with that Lioness last week as well. Both brothers are taking turns mating with her. But it does prove Tinyo is still ready to have a go but Nhenha is still more dominant.
