There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

I don't understand what you mean by this sentence. If you know of any new facts, you will be very welcome to know.

I follow all updates coming through WCS Nigeria - reading all published reports. Evidence of lions over the past 7 years is anecdotal. In general, it focuses on listening to vocalizations. Nothing more. If you read Post 13 you will understand my position better.

Possibilities exist, but lions are not good at hiding for so many years. But, we must always expect good news, even if it seems more distant each year. There will be an effort to find them and that way we will know if any ghosts still roam Yankari.

For those interested, I leave the LINKcontaining the publications of the WCS work in Nigeria.

@Lycaon

The link didn't go to any page, but it's not a problem. If possible, publish the text that gives meaning to this photograph.

If this photograph was in an official report published by WCS about Yankari I should have known.

Was it on Facebook?

Thanks.

@Matias  It is on the official facebook page of WCS Yankari project. Here is the accompanying text

Lion tracks in Yankari Game Reserve, one of only two sites in Nigeria where lions still survive today. A recent grant from the K*F]Lion Recovery Fund is helping provide support for ranger patrols - ensuring that livestock are kept out of Yankari as far as possible and that natural prey populations such as buffalo are protected.
