My friend, you're really putting in some fantastic work on the Timbavati recently, really good stuff. Please thank your Timbavati friends for their efforts, from all of us, as well.

I never knew of the 3rd old N'Watsitshaka male, back in 2016 i knew of 2 and i wondered if it was these males or the 2 Phabeni males that Freddy Kruger male joined up with back in mid 2014 before he and Solo the Tsalala male rejoined and had a territory near the Kruger Gate/S3 Rd in 2015 and Solo into 2016

Posting this for @Ngonya

The 6 Mayambula/Vlak males
Sons of the Mbiri and Grandsons of the Matimba, the 6 brothers were born around 2019 at the Mayambula/Vlak pride and are 5/6 years of age. They are territorial over atleast some part of the Sweni pride, around Satara south of S126 road.

Along with @Mapokser, a individual ID for each of the 6 brothers was made.
Earlier this year (2024), its very likely that the coalition has been whittled down to 5 after the disappearence of the sixth brother.
However, since 2023 the sixth male, even thought presumed gone just earlier this year, barely has any pictures in a very long time.
On the montage, one of the few pictures that its possible to identify him, posted in early 2023. Nothing really characteristic about him so its hard to tell this young male apart.
If not gone already, the sixth male is in the remotest of areas and so far it seems pretty much certain the remaining brothers are a coalition of 5 male lions, all together and strong.

#1 - Having the most developed mane during their early days, this male looks to be the oldest of the brothers. Nothing very characteristic except for the fact he has the cleanest face and is pretty much the best looking brother. (apparently not branded)
#2 - A very dark mane, looking as the second male in order of development. He has a X brand on his left shoulder.
#3 - Popularly nicknamed as Snip Tail, he has the tip/fur of his tail missing and a X brand on his left hindleg. He is also very well-developed but doesn't have a very dark mane like the previous two, even thought it seems as if he is one of if not the most dominant of the brothers, very often seen in the company of females.
#4 - Out of the five remaining brothers, this is the least pictured male. Also nothing very characteristic but is a blonde maned impressive male. (apparently not branded)
#5 - Has a very characteristic blonde mohawk mane along with a unique face and a X brand on his right shoulder, perhaps the easiest male to identify.
#6 - Barely any pictures but looked quite similar to the fourth male. (Likely gone)

Some other photos of them, to help ID.

Vlak #1, he has quite some Scar Mbiri/Slitnose Matimba/Boss Skybed look to him, and as Ngonya mentioned, seems not to be branded, at least as far as we know:

Vlak #2, the brand aside, he has a darker mane and a permanent scar below the right side of his nose:

Vlak #3, brand and snip-tail is more than enough for him, but face-wise dunno what it's distinct about him:

Vlak #4, something distinct about him is the bald spot on the left side of his head, though I dunno if he'll aways have it, but he has it for a long time now:

Vlak #5, distinct face, blond mohawk mane, you don't even need the brand to be able to easily tell him apart:

As for Vlak #6, last confirmed sighting of him I'm aware of is from January this year, all 6 seen together, after that, he's not seen for all I know, however, it's not like we have any recent photos of him, last time I could find anything on him was on April 2023, he looked even less developed than #5, with all the others being already decently to very well developed. This photo from 2023 aside, only other footage I can find of him is from the videos of all 6 together back when they were nomads. He was always a ghost so maybe he's not even dead, but stays split most of the time, maybe on the original territory they took over.

Anyway, some photos of them together, to help ID, from left to right: #1, #2, #4, #5. Male #3 with the snip tail at the back:

#1 on the left, #4 with him:
