Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

I think that the lioness in the reply above (#383) is Napejo from the Olkeju Rongai pride.

Tambuzi Safaris: Orpen Gate, Kruger National Park.
We witnessed the male lion chasing and catching a young buffalo in action, then the second male appeared and both was feeding on the kill.

Thanks for the tip, I had no idea who these two were, so I preferred to let it as it was.

"The beginning of the most incredible and daring lion sighting I have ever had... Lioness vs Buffalo shot 1 of 5... What do you think the odds are?"

"Yes... No... Maybe? Lioness vs African Buffalo."

"Buffalo take-down. There has been a lot of action lately in the Kruger and Manyeleti as water becomes more scarce and the animals are more concentrated around the water courses."

An intruder in the herd... Lioness causes havoc at a crossing at the beginning of August while on safari with my guests. She ended up killing three wildebeests after many attempts. She even caught a warthog who had come to drink but its mother chased her off! A truly unforgettable morning. Join me on safari in the Mara in 2017

@GrizzlyClaws and @Gamiz

Guys I moved both of your posts in the "lion and pictures videos" thread here. They feature hunts, so I thought it was more fitting.

Did she successfully kill it at the end? Or did it just run off and die later?

Looks to be the latter. Rare case out of a trillion...

It is unlikely that zebra would make it with all those internal organs hanging out.

"Great battle between mortal enemies. The lion vs buffalo! Being able to witness something like this is an absolute blessing. We were one of only 4 vehicles parked at the sighting and could move around and observe the entire spectacle."
