Male leopards have massive territories and will spend the majority of their time patrolling, scent marking and rasping, making sure that all other males know who this area belongs too. As the males have much territories than the females, they can often have 3-4 different females in their territory and in order to successfully spread their genetics, it is crucial that they patrol on a regular basis.
