Gabbar is a handsome tiger. I was wondering about the names, such as Gabbar. Do these names often have any special meaning?

Gabbar means indolent or lazy from Hindi to English.
He also goes by leopard face.

Sharmili means shy and so on.

The problem is that some have multiple names, like gabbar.

Namdeav is Saturn.... Katezari is Tyson.... Bamera is sashi etc.

The names for these tigers is a mixture of everything.

1)   Based on numbering

Tigers numbered like T24, T28, KZT023 etc is a technique used in different reserves to identify different tigers.

2)  Based on location

Tigers like Bamera, Waghdoh, Katezari, Backwaters male, Tank male, Kharya Ghati male etc are named based on the locations they found

3)  Based on body marks

Tigers like Machali, Dollar male, Star male, Hairyfoot, BMW, Bokha, Naak kata, Brokentail, leopard face etc are named based on body marks and patterns

4)    Based on fame and appearance

Tigers like Raja, Ram, Shivaji, Veerapan, Tyson, Khali, Sultan, Genghis, Agasthya, Bheema etc are named based on famous personalities and physical appeaeance

5) Based on character

Tigers like Charger, See-off, Gaur singh, limp male etc are named based on there personal characters.

So most of the naming techniques falls into one of the following categories.

Hope it helps
