We see this happen btw family members when feasting on a prey or fighting for mating rights. A year or so back in Mara, a young lion in fine condition lost his lone eye and had to be put down. Can’t remember his name, that injury was suspected from his brothers in the coalition.

Its suspected Nhenha caused an injury to his partner’s eyelid, narrowly missing the eye.I suspect it’s his brothers here as K4 didn’t seem to come across rival males or was interacting with females of late. Since the attack a few months back, he is totally stuck with his brothers, so suspecting them. Just a theory, could be wrong.
