There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

"Spots on granite
A huge male leopard looks back from its lair in the hill behind Pherwa village. A total of 11- 14 leopards reside in that single hill, an unheard of leopard density. The bulging stomach and bloodstains on the snout indicate that he has just enjoyed a sumptuous feast. Bera, Rajasthan, December 2014"

Melanistic Leopard | Black Panther | Nagarhole (Kabini) May16

Some creatures leave you dumbstruck with their sheer magnetism. I was lucky to sight this melanistic leopard resting on a branch in lush green canopy at Kabini which has had its share of pre monsoon showers

"I always said Kabini never disappoints and you invariably get to see a big cat or something unique.. This trip has been very different and unique. We have so far seen 3 Leopards and 7 (Yes Seven) Tigers and still have over 5 safaris to go. Here is the Temple male Leopard to start with. Watch this space and I will post more once I return back to Bangalore."

I'm sure there's a lot of factors here, but that first guy looks very dark. Much more orange than tan or yellow. I like it...

Yeah, its coat resembles that of a jaguar.
