There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

just because their mom is dead?

I agree with you. I see no reason why the kids wouldn't be tolerated.

To my eyes, the one who wrote that exaggerate it a little bit, the subadults have at least two more years under their fathers watch to be safe.

the othawa cubs must be around 21-23 months old,
by next April-May they will be able to take care of themselves, as the Xihmungwe subadults.
They could stay with their fathers to enjoy their protection and hunting but in case there will be major changes they still could survive if they are lucky.
Besides the 2 othawa lionesses will be by their sides.
