Check history....All the lions that have injury problems try to stay with the prides for easy food and its logical that they cannot follow their brothers also they fall in hierarchy but they are not outsiders....

I know it,I was very fortunate to follow the lions for a couple of years,I did notice this with a few other lions, Scarface,Nsuku,and actually the Nharhu male "Skorokoro"
