I’m guilty. It never occurred to me.
But with them mentioning a chase, and showing two at one time. Maybe I fell victim to making a false assumption
As I recall, there were reports of a third male. I guess that was a unrelated nomad that entered the area around the same time but mistakenly believed to be part of the Gijima coalition.
And when he was seen after the conflict, everyone just assumed he got split in the heat of the battle. Even though in reality he probably never even seen the others.
When that becomes the narrative, it becomes pretty easy to misremember video clips.

MalaMala says 3 males in their report from clash, so from there it all started.
They prob heard rumors of 3 new males in the south, as i remember that first rumors was 3 new males even before they attacked Gore in Sabi Sabi.
Yes. Here’s the report. Which doesn't make it easy.
They clearly say three males.
If they were indeed witness how can this not be taken as fact ?
Now having said so…I’ve realized these blogs are not infallible. I’ve found inaccuracies in the past. So again…doesn’t make it easy when you’re researching for the truth.
I’m going to ask Jason again. And share this report. See what dialogue ensues

Sightings of that clash was a mess, they been late to the party and was filmed by different people.
Even their video is "inacurate" chronologicaly, as they first showed how 2 Ndhzengas chased 2 Gijimas and then they showed Light Maned Gijima with injured WideNose vocalizing, clearly it was other way around as 2 Ndhzengas where chasing Gijimas at the end, thru MM, into Londolozi and then south.
In their report it says they are getting pieces together and are not exactly sure how all went down.
I think 3 males is mistake when they are getting pieces together from different sources.
They prob think that male with WideNose is not the same as 1/2 who was chased by Amahle and OE, but he is, thats Light Maned Gijima.

Could prove catastrophic for Msuthlu and SP. I’m quite nervous that they get abandoned.
Gijimas have one SP young lioness 5 Styx and one Msuthlu as mating opportunities, im hoping that’s enough to keep them motivated in staying.
Agree fully, I hope the Gijimas stay put. If the PCM continue their conquest of the north, these boys could just as easily move into the West, which could spell disaster on so many fronts.
The nhkulus are very timid lions don’t think they killed the southern avoca because if they did they would not act like this as dominate males with m at members sick but they still have to numbers over anyone that’s why when the gijimas stumbled upon them a few months ago they where ready to run but they realized oh it’s 5 of us and 2 of them

They are not a united coalition, rarely seen in big numbers and haven't been seen as a group of 6-7 since forever.
They also have health issues going on and even back when they were fully healthy they didn't seem to be very formidable since they lost clashes to Gijima and S.Avocas.
So it's not a big a surprise they'd lose a 2v3. If they had more numbers or at least the strongest members involved then it'd likely be different like it was in the 5v2.
They clashed with the gijimas like a fight or chasing eachother? The same reason I asked if we have any photos of all 6 mapogos together is the same reason these guys won’t be seen together anymore to be honest how many times have the vuyela males been seen all together I think once in the past year the large coalitions don’t really stay together after they become dominant males unless they come together to take a new territory other than that I think they do their own thing and bump into whoever whenever or call whoever and see who answers type of deal
There was barely internet back in the Mapogo era, and there are countless of reports of all 6 together, even if we lack photos and vids. As well as countless sightings of 5 together.
Nkhulu are not seen as a group of 6 maybe since the Gijima clash, and not as 7 maybe since they were nomads ( though to be fair Delaporte is not accounted for so we don't know if he's still alive ).
The health issues were a huge blow to this coalition, they are extremely aggressive against lionesses and sub, if they were all 100% healthy chances are they'd be doing much more damage.
