There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Ok brother

ABOUT SANJAY

Sanjay is a gentlemen, whereas you, judging from the avatar showing a man with a handgun and the content of your posts, apparently are close to the opposite. Sanjay also is co-owner of WildFact. I'm the other.

I decided to inform you about a few things. Read carefully.

ABOUT JOINING A FORUM

1 - When you join a forum about the natural world, you don't use an avatar showing a man with a handgun.

2 - When you join a forum, you know about forum rules. At this forum, it starts with respect. Respect for animals, respect for good information, respect for other posters, respect for mods and respect for everything they produce.

3 - When you join a forum to interact, you communicate in a fitting way. This means you don't use big fat black letters all the time every time you post.

4 - When you learned how to post in a fitting way, you post good information. Not something else.

5 - When you like a forum, you know it is about accumulating good information. Readers like to be informed in the best possible way.

6 - When you disagree with a post, you use arguments. You never insult anyone, no matter what.

7 - On a forum, you distinguish between reality and the human version of it. On a forum, you discuss reality. You do the human version of it elsewhere.

8 - Forum members distinguish between information at the level of individuals and information at the level of species.

9 - Forum members distinguish between information provided by tourists and information collected by rangers and researchers.

Notice there's no rule about language. The reason is a forum isn't about flawless English. A forum about the natural world, apart from a few general rules (see above), is about good information.

ABOUT MAJINGILANE

Majingilane is a moderator. His department is lions. Wild lions. His job is to build a place where they feature. A place not based on hearsay, but a place based on good information. The aim is to build a place of beauty, not a temple. The lion king doesn't need worshippers, but members he can trust.

How get to good information? You start with individuals, coalitions and prides and you end with them. Life isn't about information at the level of species; it is and always will be about individuals. In the case of lions, one could add coalitions and prides. When you know a lot about one coalition, you can't say if it's typical or not. Based on what we know, there seem to be significant differences between regions.

What do you do when you are a moderator and the forum you work for has over 100 000 views a month? One is you want to prevent misinforming the public. This is why you don't say the Mapogos were special or not. The reason is you don't know. The best way to inform readers is to stick to good information. This is information collected by those in the know, like rangers and researchers. What others do with the information you post, is up to them.

Majingilane is doing a great job. That's why his lion threads draw a crowd. The flipside is crowds are notoriously unpredictable. There's always one out for trouble. Often, he announces his presence by spreading leaflets. Leaflets in big black fat letters saying the lion moderator is a fraud.

Then he just has to wait for a follow-up. Often, he will not be disappointed. Lions, just like us, always like a nice brawl. No particular reason needed. A good victim would be nice. And a majority if possible. Four to one, I'd say. Then the pummeling starts. No risk whatsoever with that majority. That's the nice part.

The bad part is a surprise. Majingilane wasn't alone. He's part of coalition of 8 (yes, I know 8 is a new record) and one of them suddenly appeared. Although striped, he also enjoys a nice brawl. The problem for you is he's co-owner of the place you selected for the fight. Bad luck.

ABOUT THE FUTURE

Here's what will happen.

One is you will apologize to Majingilane. Two is you will change your avatar. Three is you will quit crapping. A forum is not a place to walk the bloody dog and take a leak whenever you want to. You do good information or you leave. If you want to continue over here, better start reading the forum rules section.

This is an official warning. One more violation is out. Same for your friends.

Based on wat I saw so far, the advice is to move over to social media. More suited, I think.
