There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

I would consider these animals as extreme individuals, like over-sized wrestlers or basketball players. As for what I would call the normal maximums: Lion, about 250 kg ( 550 pounds ) - Tiger, about 318 kg ( 700 pounds ) - Inland brown bear, about 363 kg ( 800 pounds ) - Coastal brown bear, about 680 kg ( 1500 pounds ) - and Polar bear, about 907 kg ( 2000 pounds ). I believe that individuals above this size range should be considered as freakish or at least highly unusual. In fact, those within this size range ( imo ) are news worthy.
