There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Post anything you can find on cougar predation on this thread.  Both new and old accounts.

Here, one cougar kills 18 moose in less than a year, pretty impressive for them.

great find ! @smedz cool to watch. Pretty much like leopard killing sambar (like this https://wildfact.com/forum/topic-leopard...2#pid80982 @smedz ). Difference I found is leopard use it's hind claws to push away deer (at 4:34) when they hit them with those hooves and it's a long struggle unusually like leopards.

Here's an article on how cougar predation on White-tailed Deer in the Eastern U.S.A can be very beneficial to us. Hunters won't like this, but this is what science is telling us, and if they don't like it, that's their problem.
