Valentin Pacaut: " Lion taking care of his girl!
Kruger National Park, South Africa. You always get great surprises when you go to #krugernationalpark ! That day, a herd of elephants had a mud bath just a few meters from us, we met with an incredible tusker, and finally, at sunset time, saw a beautiful male lion and a lioness mating. Not so far, about 20 meters away, another male lion is waiting for his chance. The lion on the photo is staring at him, and taking care of the female! "

HIs face scars do not match with any of the two Kruger males. The male above look way more scared than the KNP males. Also KNPs did not have this characteristic deep mark under right eye which male above has. Actually Limper has, but I am not sure it is same scar.

All pictures that you posted are from Freddy, this is Limper:  *This image is copyright of its original author  *This image is copyright of its original author But that lion has some similarity with Freddy, and whisker spots are close, but he looks too old to be Freddy in 2010. It might be one of the Old Skukuza/Sand River males as Sand Rivers are similar to him too:  *This image is copyright of its original author Who knows, but it seems that all this lions who came around Skukuza are somehow connected, as both Freddy and Sand Rivers look quite similar to him. |
