These two males are known as the Sand River males and they are between 9-10 years old now. You will find these two males on the H4-1 near Nkhulu. They are the pride males of the Nkhulu pride. Jean saw the Nkhulu pride today but she didn't see these two males. Keep an eye out for them. Photo taken in March 2014.

One of the 4 males from the Shishangeni coalition. You can find these 4 males on the S28 and in the Shishangeni concession. These 4 males have just taken over the Vurhami pride. The 6 Vurhami pride females are in the Shishangeni concession with these males.

it is a little strange 4 lions to beat 6 Quote:the Gomondwane are still all alive?Ok, here I found a bit of info on them: The 6 Gomondwane males ruled Lukimbi and the Crocodile Bridge areas and they were the pride males of the Gomondwane pride and the Vurhami pride. One of the Gomondwane males was killed by buffalo in 2011 and the blind Gomondwane male disappeared last year so that leaves 4 Gomondwane males unaccounted for. The 4 Shishangeni males chased the remaining 4 Gomondwane males away last year. From Jock Safari Lodge, Update on the Eastern Bank males: These 5 young males have been seen on several occasions mating with the females of the Biyamiti Weir pride after ousting the Stolsnek Males for this area. The Guides normally find them on the S23 south between the H3 & the S114. They are very vocal at night and their roars can be heard in Camp just about every night. The two old Mazithi males were ousted a few months ago but one of them is back with the Mazithi pride now. The two old Mazithi males are very successful males and they have been the Mazithi pride males for a very long time. I'm not sure where the other male is.
